  • 1 Non-stick skillet For cooking the omelette
  • 1 Whisk For beating the egg yolks

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Egg yolks From large eggs
  • 1 tbsp Milk To make the omelette fluffy
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper Freshly ground
  • 1 tbsp Butter For cooking
  • 1/4 cup Shredded cheese Optional; for filling
  • 2 tbsp Chopped herbs Such as chives or parsley, optional

Instructions
 

  • Separate the egg yolks from the whites. Use the whites for another recipe.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Heat butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat until melted.
  • Pour the egg yolk mixture into the skillet, tilting to spread evenly.
  • Let it cook undisturbed for about 3 minutes or until the edges start to set.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese and herbs (if using) over half of the omelette.
  • Carefully fold the other half over the filling.
  • Cook for another 2 minutes, or until the cheese melts.
  • Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve immediately.

Notes

Feel free to customize the filling with your favorite ingredients like sautéed vegetables, bacon, or diced ham.
