Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk (whole milk, almond milk, or your choice)
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp honey (adjust to taste)
  • A pinch of salt
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Whipped cream and extra nutmeg for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Eggs: Start by gently cooking the eggs to ensure safety. Fill a small saucepan with water and bring it to a boil. Carefully place the eggs in the boiling water and cook for 4-5 minutes. Remove the eggs, cool them under cold running water, and peel.
  • Blend the Ingredients: In a blender, combine the peeled eggs, ripe banana, vanilla Greek yogurt, milk, ground nutmeg, ground cinnamon, pure vanilla extract, honey, and a pinch of salt. If you prefer a colder and thicker smoothie, you can add a few ice cubes as well.
  • Blend Until Smooth: Secure the blender lid and blend all the ingredients until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency. This may take a minute or two.
  • Taste and Adjust: After blending, taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey if desired. Blend again briefly to incorporate any additional sweetness.
  • Serve: Pour the Egg Nog Smoothie into a glass or glasses.
  • Garnish (Optional): For a festive touch, top each smoothie with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of extra ground nutmeg.
  • Enjoy: Sip and savor the delicious, holiday-inspired flavors of this Egg Nog Smoothie.
