Equipment

  • 1 Large skillet For cooking the French toast
  • 1 Mixing bowl For preparing the egg mixture

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Challah bread loaf Thickly sliced
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 tbsp Butter For cooking

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  • Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Dip each slice of challah bread into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides well.
  • Place the soaked bread slices into the skillet and cook until golden brown on one side, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Flip the slices and cook until the other side is golden brown, about another 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve hot with maple syrup, fresh berries, or your favorite toppings.

Notes

For added flavor, you can sprinkle powdered sugar on top before serving.
