Follow this recipe to prepare a delicious Chicken Florentine, an elegant dish made with sautéed chicken breasts topped with a creamy spinach sauce.

Equipment

  • 1 Skillet For cooking the chicken and spinach sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts Boneless and skinless
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 cups Baby spinach Fresh
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Grated
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté the garlic for about 1 minute.
  • Add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in the baby spinach and cook until wilted.
  • Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce is smooth and thickened.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce.
  • Serve hot with your choice of sides.

Notes

For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream and reduce the amount of Parmesan cheese.
