Follow this recipe to prepare a decadent Chocolate Lava Cake, with a rich and gooey center that oozes out when you cut into it.

Equipment

  • 1 Oven Preheated to 220°C (428°F)
  • 4 Ramekins For baking the cakes
  • 1 Mixer For mixing the batter

Ingredients
  

  • 100 g Dark chocolate Chopped
  • 100 g Butter Unsalted
  • 2 Eggs Large
  • 2 Egg yolks Large
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour Sifted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  • Melt the chocolate and butter together over a double boiler or in the microwave.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until thick and pale.
  • Fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture gently.
  • Add the sifted flour and mix until just combined.
  • Grease and flour the ramekins, then divide the batter evenly among them.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.
  • Serve immediately, optionally with ice cream or cream.

Notes

Make sure not to overbake, to achieve the ideal molten center.
