Instructions
In a bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk. Add sugar and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Add melted butter, egg, and salt. Gradually add flour and knead into a soft dough.
Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
Once dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface to a rectangle.
Spread softened butter over the dough and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.
Roll up the dough tightly from the long side and cut into 12 rolls.
Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for 30 minutes.
Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk.
Spread or drizzle the icing over warm rolls before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add pecans or raisins in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
