Follow this recipe to make a delicious Egg and Ham Croissant, a perfect breakfast or brunch option with flaky croissants stuffed with eggs and ham.

Equipment

  • 1 Frying pan For cooking the eggs
  • 1 Oven For warming the croissants

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Croissants Large, preferably freshly baked
  • 4 Eggs Beaten
  • 200 g Ham Sliced
  • 2 tbsp Butter For cooking the eggs
  • to taste Salt and Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Warm the croissants in the oven for about 5 minutes or until they are slightly crispy.
  • In a frying pan, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add the beaten eggs to the pan and gently scramble until just set.
  • Season the scrambled eggs with salt and pepper.
  • Slice the warmed croissants in half horizontally.
  • Place a slice or two of ham on the bottom half of each croissant.
  • Top with a portion of scrambled eggs.
  • Cover with the top half of the croissant and serve immediately.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, omit the ham and add sautéed spinach or mushrooms.
