  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Whisk For mixing the batter
  • 1 8-inch round cake pan For baking the cake
  • 1 Oven Preheat to 350°F (175°C)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 and 1/2 cups All-purpose flour Sifted
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 cup Milk Room temperature
  • 1 tbsp White vinegar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and vinegar to the dry ingredients.
  • Gradually add milk and mix until the batter is smooth and lump-free.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Serve plain or with your favorite frosting.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute milk with almond milk or any other non-dairy milk of your choice.
