Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices Bread Thick sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups Eggnog Store-bought or homemade
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 tsp Ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp Butter For cooking
  • to taste Maple syrup For serving

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggnog, eggs, ground nutmeg, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
  • Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
  • Dip each bread slice into the eggnog mixture, making sure both sides are well-coated.
  • Place the coated bread slices onto the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Add more butter to the skillet as needed for additional batches.
  • Serve the French toast hot, topped with maple syrup.

Notes

For an extra festive touch, sprinkle powdered sugar on top before serving.
