Equipment

  • 1 Springform Pan 9-inch, for baking the cake
  • 1 Mixer For mixing the batter
  • 1 Double Boiler For melting chocolate

Ingredients
  

  • 200 g Dark chocolate Chopped
  • 1 cup Butter Unsalted, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup Sugar Granulated
  • 6 Eggs Large, beaten
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  • Using a double boiler, melt the chopped dark chocolate and butter together, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  • Stir in the sugar, beaten eggs, vanilla extract, and salt into the melted chocolate mixture until well combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is set and a thin crust forms. The center should be slightly gooey.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then run a knife around the edges before removing the sides of the springform pan.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally dusted with powdered sugar or topped with fresh berries.

Notes

For a different twist, serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
