Equipment

  • 1 Frying pan For frying tofu
  • 1 Mixing Bowl For marinating the tofu

Ingredients
  

  • 400 g Firm tofu Cut into cubes
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch For coating
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 2 Eggs Beaten
  • 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp Hoisin sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • to taste Salt

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, marinate tofu cubes with soy sauce for 10 minutes.
  • Coat marinated tofu with cornstarch evenly.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan and fry tofu until golden brown on all sides.
  • Remove tofu from the pan and drain on paper towels.
  • In the same pan, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sugar; mix well.
  • Stir in the beaten eggs, cooking until set.
  • Return the fried tofu to the pan, toss to coat with the sauce, and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute eggs with scrambled tofu and adjust sauces for vegan options.
