  • 1 Oven-safe skillet For cooking and baking the dish
  • 1 Whisk For mixing ingredients

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced
  • 1 can Crushed tomatoes (14 oz can)
  • 1/2 tsp Dried oregano
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese Shredded
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp Fresh basil Chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add crushed tomatoes and dried oregano, and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Make 4 wells in the sauce and crack an egg into each well.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top.
  • Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, until the eggs are cooked to your liking.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.

Notes

For an added twist, try adding some red pepper flakes for a spicy kick or serve with toasted bread on the side.
