  • 1 Mixing Bowl For preparing the sauce and coating

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Chicken wings Cleaned and patted dry
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Cornstarch
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • as needed Oil For deep frying
  • 1/4 cup Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds For garnish

Instructions
 

  • Season the chicken wings with salt and black pepper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and cornstarch.
  • Coat the chicken wings evenly with the flour mixture.
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer and fry the chicken wings until crispy and golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  • In a saucepan, combine gochujang, ketchup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and minced garlic.
  • Cook the sauce on medium heat until it starts to simmer and thickens slightly.
  • Remove from heat and stir in sesame oil.
  • In a large bowl, toss the fried chicken wings with the prepared sauce until well coated.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds.
  • Serve hot as an appetizer or main dish.

Notes

Adjust the spice level of the sauce by varying the amount of gochujang.
