  • 1 Frying pan For cooking the egg
  • 1 Toaster For toasting the bagels

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Montreal-Style Bagels Sliced in half
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 slices Cheese Cheddar or your favorite type
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper Freshly ground

Instructions
 

  • Toast the bagel halves in a toaster until they are golden brown.
  • Heat butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Crack the eggs into the pan and season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the eggs until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, or to your desired level of doneness.
  • Place a slice of cheese on top of each egg and let it melt slightly.
  • Place the cooked eggs with the melted cheese on the toasted bagel halves.
  • Top with the other bagel half and serve immediately.

Notes

You can add additional toppings like avocado, bacon, or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition.
