  • 1 Large pot For cooking the pasta and taco mixture

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz Pasta Any type of pasta
  • 1 lb Ground beef Or ground turkey for a lighter option
  • 1 packet Taco seasoning mix
  • 1 can Diced tomatoes Drained
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese Cheddar or Mexican blend
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  • Add the taco seasoning mix, diced tomatoes, water, and pasta. Stir well.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes or until pasta is cooked.
  • Stir in the shredded cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot garnished with extra cheese and chopped cilantro, if desired.

Notes

Feel free to customize this dish by adding your favorite taco toppings such as sour cream, avocado, or jalapenos.
