Here is a refreshing Shrimp Ceviche recipe, a classic Latin American dish made with fresh shrimp marinated in citrus juices, mixed with onions, cilantro, and avocado.

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl For combining all ingredients
  • 1 Knife For chopping ingredients

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Shrimp Peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup Lime juice Freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup Tomato Seeded and diced
  • 1/2 cup Red onion Finely chopped
  • 1 Jalapeno Minced
  • 1 Avocado Diced
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro Chopped
  • to taste Salt

Instructions
 

  • Place shrimp in a bowl and cover with lime juice. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes, or until shrimp turns opaque.
  • Add chopped tomato, red onion, jalapeno, avocado, and cilantro to the shrimp.
  • Stir everything together and season with salt to taste.
  • Serve chilled with tortilla chips or on lettuce leaves.

Notes

For a milder ceviche, remove the seeds from the jalapeno before mincing.
