Equipment

  • 1 Griddle or skillet For cooking the burger patties
  • 1 Spatula For smashing the patties

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Ground beef 80/20 blend for juiciness
  • 1 tsp Salt To season the patties
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper Freshly ground
  • 8 Small flour tortillas Taco-sized
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese For topping
  • 1 cup Lettuce Shredded
  • 1 Tomato Sliced
  • 1/4 cup Onion Finely chopped
  • to taste Pickles Sliced
  • to taste Burger sauce Optional, for drizzling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the griddle or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Divide ground beef into 8 equal portions and roll each into a ball.
  • Place the beef balls on the hot griddle, leaving space between each.
  • Using a spatula, press down on each ball to flatten into a patty.
  • Season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Flip the patties, add cheese, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until cheese melts.
  • Warm tortillas on a dry pan or microwave.
  • Place one patty on each tortilla.
  • Top with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and a drizzle of burger sauce if desired.
  • Fold the tortillas around the filling and serve hot.

Notes

Experiment with different cheeses and sauces to create your own unique flavor.
