Follow this recipe to prepare delicious Sticky Buns, a sweet pastry treat with a caramelized topping of nuts and cinnamon.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 tsp Active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup Warm water 110°F
  • 1 cup Milk Warm
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Butter Melted
  • 1 Egg Beaten
  • 4 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter Melted
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1 cup Pecans Chopped
  • 1/2 cup Butter Softened
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • In a large bowl, combine milk, sugar, melted butter, and egg.
  • Add 2 cups of flour and the yeast mixture; beat well.
  • Add remaining flour and salt, mix until incorporated and dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 6-8 minutes, until smooth.
  • Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour, until doubled.
  • In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, melted butter, and honey.
  • Pour mixture into a greased baking pan and sprinkle with pecans.
  • Roll dough into a rectangle, brush with softened butter, and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Roll up tightly, cut into 1-inch slices, and place in the prepared baking pan.
  • Cover and let rise for 30 minutes, until doubled.
  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Invert onto a serving platter immediately after baking.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding raisins or dried cranberries to the filling.
