Follow this recipe to prepare a delicious Strawberry Eton Mess, a classic British dessert made with layers of meringue, strawberries, and whipped cream.

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl For preparing the whipped cream
  • 1 Hand mixer For whipping the cream

Ingredients
  

  • 300 g Fresh strawberries Hulled and halved
  • 400 ml Heavy cream
  • 3 Meringue nests Store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tbsp Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract and sugar until it forms soft peaks.
  • In a separate bowl, lightly crush the meringue nests into bite-sized pieces.
  • Gently fold the crushed meringue and strawberries into the whipped cream.
  • Serve immediately in individual glasses or bowls, garnished with additional strawberry slices if desired.

Notes

Eton Mess is best enjoyed fresh, but it can be assembled just before serving to keep the meringue crisp.
