
Paneer Makhani Recipe
Follow this recipe to prepare a delicious Paneer Makhani, a popular Indian dish made with paneer (Indian cottage cheese) simmered in a creamy tomato-based sauce.
Equipment
- 1 Non-stick pan For cooking the gravy
- 1 Blender For pureeing the tomato mixture
Ingredients
- 200 g Paneer Cut into cubes
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 1 cup Tomato puree Freshly prepared
- 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder For color
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 1/2 cup Fresh cream
- to taste Salt
Instructions
- Heat butter in a pan, add ginger garlic paste, and sauté for a minute.
- Add tomato puree, red chili powder, and cook until oil separates.
- Add 1 cup of water, salt, and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Blend the mixture to a smooth consistency and strain back into the pan.
- Add paneer cubes, garam masala, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in fresh cream and remove from heat.
- Serve hot garnished with cream and coriander leaves.
Notes
For a vegan version, substitute paneer with tofu and cream with coconut cream.
