Equipment

  • 1 Oven-proof skillet To cook and broil the frittata

Ingredients
  

  • 6 Eggs Beaten
  • 1 cup Asparagus Trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 4 slices Prosciutto Chopped
  • 1/2 cup Gruyere cheese Shredded
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven broiler.
  • Heat olive oil in an oven-proof skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the asparagus to the skillet and cook until tender.
  • Add the chopped prosciutto to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • In a bowl, beat the eggs with milk, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the asparagus and prosciutto in the skillet.
  • Sprinkle Gruyere cheese on top.
  • Cook until the edges start to set, about 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the skillet to the oven and broil until the top is set and golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Carefully remove from the oven, slice, and serve.

Notes

You can substitute Gruyere cheese with any other Swiss cheese, and prosciutto with bacon or ham if preferred.
