Follow this recipe to prepare a delicious Butter Chicken, a popular Indian dish made with marinated chicken in a creamy tomato-based sauce.

Equipment

  • 1 Non-stick pan For cooking the gravy
  • 1 Blender For pureeing the tomato mixture

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Chicken Cut into pieces
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 1 cup Tomato puree Freshly prepared
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder For color
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1/2 cup Fresh cream
  • to taste Salt

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, and salt.
  • Add chicken pieces, coat well, and marinate for at least 1 hour.
  • Heat butter in a pan, add ginger garlic paste, and sauté for a minute.
  • Add tomato puree, red chili powder, and cook until oil separates.
  • Add 1 cup of water, salt, and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  • Blend the mixture to a smooth consistency and strain back into the pan.
  • Add marinated chicken and cook until the chicken is tender.
  • Add garam masala and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  • Stir in fresh cream and remove from heat.
  • Serve hot garnished with cream and coriander leaves.

Notes

For a richer flavor, you can add cashew paste to the gravy. Adjust spices to your taste preference.
