Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Cod fillets Boiled and flaked
  • 1 Egg Lightly beaten
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley Chopped
  • 1 tsp Lemon zest
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 100 g Breadcrumbs For coating
  • 2 Hard-boiled eggs Chopped
  • 50 g Butter
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 300 ml Milk
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Combine flaked cod, egg, parsley, lemon zest, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Shape the mixture into patties and coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan and cook patties until golden brown on both sides.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  • Add chopped hard-boiled eggs to the sauce, season with salt and pepper, and cook for an additional minute.

Notes

For a lighter version, you can bake the cod cakes at 200°C for 20 minutes instead of frying. Serve with a salad for a complete meal.
