  • 1 Oven For toasting the bread
  • 1 Mixing bowl For combining ingredients

Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices Bread Any type you prefer
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt Plain or flavored
  • 1 large Egg Beaten
  • 1 tbsp Honey Or maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • as desired Fresh fruits Sliced, for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, beaten egg, honey, and vanilla extract.
  • Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and make a well in the center of each slice with the back of a spoon.
  • Spoon the yogurt mixture into the wells, spreading it out evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges of the bread are golden and the custard is set.
  • Remove from the oven and top with fresh fruit slices.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your Custard Yogurt Toast!

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use dairy-free yogurt and skip the egg, or substitute with a vegan egg replacer.
