- 4 large eggs
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional toppings: roasted seaweed strips, sesame seeds, and Sriracha sauce
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk the eggs until well beaten. Set aside.Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced green onions and minced garlic, and sauté for about 2 minutes or until fragrant. Pour the whisked eggs into the skillet and cook, stirring constantly to create soft curds. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Once the eggs are almost cooked, add the cooked rice to the skillet. Mix gently to combine the rice and eggs.
Drizzle in the soy sauce and sesame oil, stirring to ensure the rice and eggs are evenly coated with the seasonings.
Continue cooking the Gyeran Bap for another 1-2 minutes, or until the rice is heated through and the flavors are well combined.
Remove the skillet from the heat and transfer the Gyeran Bap to serving bowls. Top with optional toppings like roasted seaweed strips, sesame seeds, or a drizzle of Sriracha sauce for a spicy kick.
