
Avocado Toast with Poached Egg Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 slice Bread Whole grain or your choice
- 1/2 Avocado Ripe, peeled and pitted
- 1 Egg For poaching
- To taste Salt
- To taste Black pepper Freshly ground
- Optional Red pepper flakes
- Optional Lemon juice For a tangy avocado mix
Instructions
- Toast bread slice to desired crispiness.
- In a bowl, mash the avocado and mix in salt, pepper, and optional lemon juice.
- Spread the mashed avocado evenly over the toasted bread.
- Bring a saucepan of water to a light simmer and add a pinch of salt.
- Crack the egg into a cup and gently slide it into the simmering water.
- Poach the egg for 3-4 minutes for a soft yolk or longer for a firmer yolk.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the egg and drain it on a paper towel.
