- 3/4 cup Whole milk Warm
- 2 1/4 tsp Active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 4 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 Eggs Room temperature
- 1/4 cup Unsalted butter Softened
- 1 cup Dark chocolate Melted
- 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Water
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tsp sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add flour, remaining sugar, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
- Gradually add softened butter and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic. Let it rise for about 1.5 hours or until doubled in size.
- In a bowl, mix melted chocolate, cocoa powder, and sugar until smooth.
- Roll out the dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
