  • 1 Large Trifle Bowl For assembling the trifle
  • 1 Mixing Bowl For preparing the custard
  • 1 Whisk For whipping the cream

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Sponge cake Cut into cubes
  • 2 cups Fresh berries Mixed (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 packet Jelly Prepared as per package instructions
  • 2 cups Custard Homemade or store-bought
  • 1 cup Whipped cream Lightly sweetened
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract For flavor
  • 1/4 cup Sliced almonds For garnish
  • to taste Mint leaves For garnish

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the jelly as per package instructions and allow it to set.
  • In a trifle bowl, layer the sponge cake cubes evenly.
  • Scatter the mixed berries over the sponge cake.
  • Pour the prepared jelly over the berries and cake cubes, letting it seep through.
  • Allow the jelly layer to set slightly before adding the custard layer.
  • Pour the custard over the jelly and spread evenly.
  • Whisk the cream with vanilla extract until soft peaks form and layer over the custard.
  • Garnish with sliced almonds and fresh mint leaves.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes
