- 1 Oven Preheated to 375°F
- 1 Large skillet For cooking the chard
- 1 Baking dish For baking the gratin
Ingredients
- 1 bunch Swiss chard Washed and chopped
- 1 Onion Chopped
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 4 Garlic cloves Minced
- 4 large Eggs
- 1 cup Shredded cheese Gruyère or similar
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onions and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for another minute.
- Stir in the chopped Swiss chard and cook until wilted, about 5-7 minutes.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Transfer the chard mixture to a baking dish.
- Make four indentations in the mixture and crack an egg into each indentation.
- Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the eggs are set and the cheese is golden and bubbly.
