Classic Asparagus Quiche Recipe

Are you craving a sophisticated yet straightforward breakfast or brunch dish? Look no further than the classic Asparagus Quiche. This delectable recipe combines tender asparagus with creamy eggs and cheese, all nestled in a flaky pie crust. It is not only visually appealing but also full of flavor. Whether you’re hosting a brunch party or simply want to treat your family to a special weekend breakfast, this asparagus quiche is sure to impress everyone at the table.

Tips to make the Classic Asparagus Quiche recipe:

1. Blind Bake the Crust: For a perfectly cooked, non-soggy crust, it’s essential to blind bake your pie crust before adding the filling. This means partially baking the crust with pie weights or dried beans to keep its shape. It ensures a crispy base that holds up to the creamy filling.

2. Trim and Blanch Asparagus: To ensure that your asparagus is tender and bright green, trim the woody ends and blanch the spears in boiling water for about 2-3 minutes, then immediately plunge them into ice water. This stops the cooking process and preserves the color and texture.

3. Use Fresh Eggs and Dairy: For the creamiest and most flavorful quiche, opt for fresh, high-quality eggs and dairy products. Full-fat cream and cheese will give your quiche a luxurious texture and taste.

4. Customize with Additional Ingredients: While asparagus is the star of this quiche, feel free to add other ingredients such as sautéed onions, mushrooms, or even crispy bacon pieces to elevate the flavor. Just be sure not to overload the quiche, as this can make it soggy.

5. Let it Rest: After baking, allow your quiche to rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing. This waiting period helps the filling to set, ensuring clean cuts and serving ease.
