We have been using these at my house, and a very similar Korean version for years, and we still have them from 10+ years ago. I highly recommend taking a look, and they are often on sale!
2. Precook the Eggs: Scramble the eggs ahead of time and let them cool slightly before stuffing them into the dough. This ensures that the eggs are fully cooked and makes assembly easier.
3. Choose Melty Cheese: Use a good melting cheese like cheddar or mozzarella. These cheeses melt beautifully and ensure a gooey, delicious filling in each bite.
4. Seal Well: Make sure to pinch the edges of the dough tightly around the filling. This helps prevent the filling from leaking out during baking.
5. Egg Wash for Shine: Brush the tops of the pretzel bites with a beaten egg before baking. This gives them a beautiful golden-brown color and an appetizing shine.
6. Serve Warm: These pretzel bites are best enjoyed warm out of the oven. If you need to reheat them later, a few minutes in the oven or a quick zap in the microwave will do the trick.
