  • 1 Large pot For cooking tagliatelle
  • 1 Large skillet For preparing Alfredo sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 250 g Tagliatelle Fresh or dried
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter Cubed
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese Freshly grated
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper Freshly ground
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley Chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cook the tagliatelle in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
  • In a large skillet over low heat, melt the butter. Add the cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Add the cooked tagliatelle to the sauce, using reserved pasta water to adjust the consistency if needed.
  • Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

For a lighter version, reduce the amount of cream and use milk instead.
