- 1 Oven For baking the flan
- 1 Blender For mixing the ingredients
- 1 Flan mold For shaping the flan
- 1 Roasting pan For water bath
Ingredients
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Water
- 5 Eggs
- 1 can Condensed milk 14 ounces
- 1 can Evaporated milk 12 ounces
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt sugar until it is golden brown.
- Carefully add water to the melted sugar and stir until smooth.
- Quickly pour the caramel into the flan mold, ensuring the bottom is evenly coated.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a blender, combine eggs, condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the custard mixture into the caramel-coated flan mold.
- Place the flan mold in a roasting pan and fill the pan with hot water halfway up the sides of the flan mold.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes or until the center is set.
- Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
