Parker House Rolls Recipe

If you’re looking for a soft and buttery dinner roll that melts in your mouth, Parker House Rolls are the ideal choice. Originating from the famous Parker House Hotel in Boston, these rolls have become a classic staple on dining tables everywhere. Known for their slightly sweet flavor and rich, fluffy texture, Parker House Rolls are perfect for any meal, whether it’s a special holiday feast or a simple weeknight dinner.

Tips to Make the Perfect Parker House Rolls:

1. Use Room Temperature Ingredients: For the best texture, ensure that your butter, eggs, and milk are at room temperature. This helps in achieving a dough that mixes smoothly and rises evenly.

2. Don’t Rush the Rise: Allow enough time for the dough to rise properly. The first rise should be at least an hour, or until the dough has doubled in size. This ensures soft and airy rolls.

3. Be Gentle with the Dough: When rolling and shaping the dough, handle it gently to maintain its light texture. Overworking can result in tough rolls.

4. Brush with Butter: For that classic Parker House appearance and taste, brush the tops of the rolls generously with melted butter before and after baking. This adds shine and flavor.

5. Bake Until Golden: Keep an eye on the rolls as they bake. They are done when they’re golden brown on top and make a hollow sound when tapped.
